His WW II draft registration card records Allen Leon Jones, age 53, residence 1347 S. 14th St., New Castle, Henry Co., Indiana, born 11 Aug 1889 in Morehead, Ky, self employed, nearest relative Mrs. Jessie Jones, wife, same address.
The SSDI lists Allen Jones, born 11 Aug 1887, died Jan 1981, last residence South Vienna, Clark Co., Ohio, SSN issued in Indiana before 1951.

Jessie was listed in the 1900 census as age 11, born Sep 1888, which may be correct, but her age in later censuses is suggestive of a birthdate in 1889 or 1890 (20 in 1910, 30 in 1920, and 39 in 1930).

In 1910 they are listed in Bath Co. with Jessie’s widowed mother as Jones, Allie, son-in-law, 22, farm laborer; Jessie, daughter, 20, first marriage for both, married 0 years. Both born Ky Ky Ky.
1920 census of Henry Co., Indiana, New Castle ward 5, enumerated 15 Jan, lists on p. 19B as family #370/394, at 1325 P. Ave:
Jones, Allie, 32, truck driver for rolling mill; Jessie, wife, 30; Joyce, dau, 8; Milton, son, 5; Fred Roy (or Ray), son, 11/12; Mark, Mary, mother, 61, widowed; Jessie, sister-in-law, 22, married, laborer at auto factory; Naomi, niece, 5; Hershell, nephew, 4; Floyd, nephew, 3 1/12; Boone, brother, 19, single, laborer at auto factory. Hershell and Floyd born Indiana Ky Ky, all others Ky Ky Ky.
Boone is really Allie’s brother-in-law. Jessie Marks is the second wife of Allie’s brother Isaac, and the three Marks children are Isaac’s children from his first marriage, to Blanche Wages. I have not been able to locate Isaac in this census year; most likely he was traveling on business and not recorded anywhere.
