The Kentucky death index lists Howard Jones, d. 15 May 1978, age 82, in Rowan Co., residence same, certificate Vol. 32, #15519.
The Social Security Death Index lists Howard Jones, b. 3 Oct 1895, d. May 1978, SSN 403-07-6239 issued in KY, last residence Morehead, KY.
His gravestone, though, says that he was born 6 Oct 1896.

1930 census of Richland Co., Ohio, Shelby ward 2, enumerated 15 April, lists on p. 17B, as family #421/441, at 180 Grove Ave.:
Jones, Howard, 35, age at first marriage 30, b. Ky Ky Ky, laborer at tube mill; Daisy, wife, 25, b. Ky Ohio Ky; Maxine, dau, 4 5/12, b. Ky Ky Ky; Howard Jr., son, 0/12, Ohio Ky Ky; Adams, Maud, sister-in-law, 19, single, packer at gum factory; Marie, sister-in-law, 23, single, no occupation. Maud and Marie are listed as born Ky Ky Ky, although if they have the same father as Daisy they should be Ky Ohio Ky.
The family apparently returned to Kentucky with a couple of years after this census was taken, because their son Billie was born in Rowan Co. in 1932.
