Her death certificate records Cyntha A. Spradling, age 56 years 3 months 28 days, born 13 Jan 1885 in Ky, died 11 May 1941 in Morgan Co., widowed, father Walter Easterling, mother’s maiden name Eliza Downing, both born in Ky, cause of death apoplexy, informant Willie Cottle, West Liberty, burial in Lacy Creek.

The age is off by 30 years and 7 months. It is a delayed certificate, filed 25 June 1941, about 6 weeks after her death. My guess is that the form was filled out from notes, and the clerk misread 1855 as 1885, and June as Jan.

Morgan Co. marriage register 2, p. 160-161, records marriage of George W. Spradlin and Sinthia Easterling on 17 Mar 1880, at Walter Easterling's, witnesses James D. Easterling and David Lemaster.

1880 census of Morgan Co., Ky, River precinct, enumerated 7 June, lists on p. 8 as family #72:
Spradlin, Geo., 25, farmer; Cynthia A., 23, wife; Spradlin, Henry, 23, servant. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Henry is George’s brother; I don’t know why he was recorded as servant.
