Notes for Charlotte Belle Riddle
The 1900 census says she was born March 1865, but the 1870 and 1880 censuses (where she was listed respectively as 3 and 12) are more consistent with 1867.

The only two members of this family that I can find in the Kentucky death records are Sudie and George, searching for McV*. They may have moved to another state sometime after 1930.

McVeigh, William, farmer, (33 or 35), b. May 1866, Va/Va/Va; Belle, wife, 34, b. Mar 1865, married 15 years, mother of 9 children, 8 living; Lezzie, dau 12, b. Oct 1887; Anna, dau, 10, b. Sep 1889; John M., 8, b. Dec 1891; Minnie, dau, 7, b. Mar 1893; Lucy, dau, 6, b. Jan (or Jun) 1894; Barbie, dau, 5, b. Mar 1895; Richard, son, 3, b. Dec 1896; Emmers, son, 2, b. Apr 1898; Riddle, Lydia, 71, mother-in-law, b. Mar 1829. All except William are listed as born Ky/Ky/Ky, but if the birthplace for William is correct, then it should be Ky/Va/Ky for the children.

All born Ky Ky Ky. (The relationship field for Lidie is hard to read. It looks like Gue Mother, but probably is Gnd Mother, although she was really William’s mother in law.)
