1860 census of Rowan Co., Ky, lists as family #291 (between William Brown and J. M. Lewis):
Jesse Cogswell, farmer, 63; Dima D., 61; Emly E., 30; Lydia, 29; John W., 27; Nancy A., 24; Isaac Z., 19. All born in Kentucky.
1870 Census of Rowan Co., Kentucky, Pearce prec., taken 20 June, lists on p. 13/128, family #90 (between families of Isaac Coggswell and Jed Coggswell):
Coggswell, Jesse, farmer, 73; Damy, 70; Elizabeth, 38; Jesse, 20; Lewis, Armilda, 17; Elizabeth, 8; Neal, Damy, 7.
Elizabeth may be the same as Emily E. in the 1860 census. Since none of the others are listed in the family in 1860, they are probably all grandchildren of Jesse Sr. and Damy. Damy Neal age 7 grew up as Damy Coggswell, and I don't know her real parents.
1880 census lists Jesse as age 82, widowed, living with his son Jed (q.v.)
