Her death certificate records Sarah Peach Cogswell, age 73 years 9 months 28 days, born 1867, died 17 Feb 1941 in Cogswell, Rowan Co., Ky, married, wife of Joe Cogswell, father Sam Alfrey, born in Rowan Co., Ky, mother’s maiden name Mary Manley, birthplace unknown, cause of death mitral regurgitation due to arteriosclerosis, contributory causes chronic nephritis and anemia, informant Homer Vernon Williams, 122 E. 18th St., Anderson, Indiana, burial in Alfrey Cemetery.

Notes for Jesse & Sarah “Peach” (Family)
Jesse and Sarah moved to Douglas Co., Illinois shortly after their marriage. and all of their children were born there. They divorced sometime between 1904 and 1910. Sarah and the younger children moved back to Kentucky, although I do not know whether it was before or after the divorce.

In the 1910 census Peach and their youngest son Vernon were living with Lilly McKinney Ellington, daughter of Joseph McKinney and Nancy Cordelia Williams. This may indicate that Jesse Williams was a nephew or cousin of Nancy Cordelia Williams.
