Notes for Pearl Adkins
I at first thought she might be the Pearl Adkins listed in the 1920 census of Elliott Co. as age 6, dau of Johnnie Adkins and Julia Cassity, but their daughter Pearl was still enumerated with them as age 16, single, in the 1930 census.
I also considered Hazel Pearl Adkins, born 24 June 1913 in Morgan Co., dau of Green Adkins and Minnie Lykins, but she was listed as Hazel Adkins, single, age 17, in the 1930 census.
I’ve been unable to find a another good match in the 1920 census or the Kentucky birth index; it may require finding the marriage record to identify her parents.

Rowan Co. marriage book 24, p. 113, records the marriage on 29 Feb 1929* of Charles Riddle, age 19, born in and resident of Rowan Co., son of Lewis & Allie Riddle, to Pearl Adkins, age 16, born in Elliott Co., resident of Rowan Co., daughter of John & Julie Adkins, at Morehead by Owen Barnhart, minister of the Church of the Brethren, witnesses Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Litton.
*The license was issued on 28 Feb 1929, but the minister’s return says the 29th day of February in both the form itself and the signature. 1929 was not a leap year, so the wedding was presumably really on either 28 Feb or the first of March.

They are sharing a dwelling with Charles’ younger brother Lester.
