Notes for James & Sarah (Family)
So far as I know, these Bath County McClain families (descendants of James b. 1779 and of John b. 1792) are not related to my own McClain ancestors (who were in Morgan and Fleming counties.) But they intermarried frequently with my Sorrell and Ingram relatives, and also some of them ended up migrating to Rowan Co., so I am keeping track of their relationships anyway.
