They also list, on p. 2 of the 1855 report, John A. Adkins born 11 Jan 1855 on Open Fork of Little Sandy, father Nathan Adkins, mother’s maiden name Mandy J. Adkins, midwife Sarah Howard. Since a mother cannot have two children born one month apart, these are presumably the same birth, with one of the reports giving the wrong date.
