Rowan Co. marriage book 7, p. 302 lists marriage of Hiram Eldridge, 19, b. Letcher Co., to Bertha M. Caudill, 19, b. Elliott Co., d/o Samuel & Mandy Caudill, at Sam Caudill's by S. P. Johnson, witnesses Cooper Black & Myrtle Caudill. My notes have Hiram's parents as "Levi & Hiram Caudill"; this may be my transcription error.
Bertha is not listed as a child of Samuel B. "Squire" Caudill and Amanda Susan Hall in the 1900 census (she would be about 9), so she must be a sister of the Tennie Caudill who listed her parents as "S. C. Caudill and Amanda Caudill".
