The reported birth date is probably incorrect; she was recorded as age 1 in the 1870 census, age 10 in the 1880 census, and age 30 born May 1870 in the 1900 census.

The preceding househild is Martin’s parents. Since Martin was listed as age 1 month in the 1870 census, taken in June, his age and birthdate are off by two years.
