The Kentucky birth index lists Mattie McKinzie born 10 Apr 1917 in Breathitt Co. (a misindexing of Rowan Co.11), mother’s maiden name Jessie Alfrey, but the 1920 census, taken in January, shows a daughter Alene age 2 8/12, which would imply a birthdate in April 1917, so these must be for the same daughter.
