Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 13, p. 15, records the marriage on 16 July 1920 of Linzzie B. Smedley, age 19, son of W. E. and Elizabeth Smedley, to Lola Baldridge, age 17, daughter of Ben & Orlena Baldridge, both spouses born in and residents of Rowan Co., at the bride’s residence by W. F. Lambert, minister of United Baptish Church, witnesses Morgan Baldridge and Les Baldridge.

Smedley, Lonnie E., 29, age at first marriage 18, laborer at tile factory; Lola, wife, 27, age at first marriage 16; Merlin C., son, 8; Loretha, dau, 4; Martha, dau, 2; Orlena H., dau, 2; Mary, dau, 7/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Judging by birth records, there is a mismatch of names and ages for Mary and Orlena - Mary is the one who was Martha’s twin, and Orlena is the one who was seven months old in April 1930.
