Joseph may be a son of Daniel’s first wife Polly Conn. The 1910 census said that Daniel and Tabltha had been married 43 years, which would imply a marriage date in about 1877 (or late 1876), and the 1880 census listed Joseph as age 3, which would imply a birthdate in the same time frame.
