Her obituary reported:
“Mrs. Nancy Jane Kegley, 83, of 4215 1/2 Rhodes Ave., New Boston, was found dead at her residence Friday.
Born Nov. 29, 1877 in Lewis Co., Ky, she was a daughter of Lewis and Cosby Meadows Mathews.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Frank Brown of Morehead, Ky, Mrs. Ora Smith of Toledo, Mrs. George Semones, 4320 Gallia St., New Boston, Mrs. Al Hubbard of Cleveland, Mrs. David Bastee, 4212 Gallia St., New Boston, Mrs. Harold Sheridan, 4337 Rhodes Ave., New Boston; a stepson, William of Mabert Rd; a sister, Mrs. Mary Buck of Milldale Rd; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kegley was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Kegley, who died in 1947.
She was a member of the New Boston Church of God.
Funeral services are to be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Walter Gatton officiating. Burial is to be in Greenlawn Cemetery under direction of Pennington-Sewards Funeral Home. Friends may call at the home of a daughter, Mrs. David Bartee, 4212 Gallia St., New Boston, after 6 tonight.”
