Notes for Louisa Georgia Ann Pettit
Her birthdate was given as March 1878 on the 1900 census, but it may really have been 1847. She appears as Louisa age 3 in the 1850 census, and as Louisa G. A. age 13 in the 1860 census. As an adult, she went by Georgeann or Georgia Ann.
Her death certificate records Georgia Ann Silvey, born 26 March 1848 in Lewis Co., Ky, died 23 March 1941 in Homer, Morgan Co., Ohio, widow of Preston Silvey.

1870 census of Lewis Co., Ky, Vanceburg precinct, enumerated July 8, lists as family #50:
Preston Silvey, 27, laborer; Georgia, 22; Warner, 4; Chas., 3; Garland, 1. All born in Kentucky.
1880 census of Lewis Co., Ky, Vanceburg precinct, enumerated 23 June, lists on p. 59 as family 313:
Preston Selby, 38, farmer; Georganna, 31; Warner, 14; Charles, 12; Garland, 10; Mary F., 8; Emery B., 6; Mandy S., 2. All born in Ky.
School census records at the Lewis County Historical Society, for school district #6 (Black Oak),
taken 26 April 1879, show the children of Press Silvey in school at the time as Warner (12), Charles (10), Garland (8), and Harry (6). “Harry” should probably be “Mary”. The census taker may have been compiling the class lists and misread the teacher’s handwriting. The ages are all low compared to the U.S. census records. This could be due to the ages having been recorded at the beginning of the school year (about Sep 78) even though the school census was taken in April.

The age for Preston is very inconsistent with other records.
