The 1850 census of Morgan Co., Ky, lists Thomas Easterling age 23 living with his cousin, Silas Easterling.

Many online family trees show her dates of birth and death as 30 Dec 1826 to 30 Nov 1917, but that is based on a death certificate for a Nancy Elam who was really Nancy nee Keeton, the widow of Joshua Elam. (The certificate does not mention her parents or husband, but she is the only Nancy Elam of that approximate birthdate in the 1900 or 1910 censuses.)

I do not know when this Nancy died, but most likely sometime between 1870 and 1900.

Morgan Co. marriage records list marriage on 30 Mar 1854 of Thomas Easterling, age 26, b. Morgan Co., to Nancy Jane Elam, age 26, born Lawrence Co., at James Fugett’s, witnesses James Easterling and Walter Easterling.

1860 census of Morgan Co., Ky, division 2, West Liberty P.O., enumerated 8 June, lists on p. 1 as family #7:
Thomas Easterling, 33, farmer; Nancy J., 32; William J., 3. All born in Kentucky.

1870 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Grassy precinct, Hazle Green P.O., enumerated 20 Aug, lists on pp. 14-15 as family #89/90:
Easterling, Thomas, 43, farmer; Nancy, 42; William J., 13; John S., 9; Walter H., 8; Lucinda, 4; Richard M., 3. All born in Ky.

I cannot find this family in the 1880 census.
