Funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Apr 1, 1995 for Nicatie "Tye" Steele, 81, of Iaeger, who died early Thursday, Mar 30 1995 at her residence. Pastor Johnny Green officiated at the chapel of Fanning Funeral Home, Iaeger. Burial followed in Iaeger Memorial Cemetery, Roderfield.
Born Nov 23, 1913 in Wilmore, she was the daughter of the late John C. "Mace" and Ellen Trent Fraley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God at Harman's Branch.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Vernice Fraley; and one half brother, Harvey and two sisters, Rosetta Rose and Molly Rose. Survivors include her husband, Acy of the home, two daughters, Ms. Delpha Jean Phillips of Iaeger and Mrs. Luther J. (Carolyn Ellen) Wimmer of Roderfield; two sons, Acy Steele, Jr. and Benny Steele, both of Iaeger; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
