I have no official record of Charles’ birth or death. He was listed as a family member by Nancy Cowan, a granddaughter of Matilda’s sister Nancy, without any dates, but between Mae and Robert in the birth order.

Since he does not appear in the 1910 census, taken in April, nor in the Kentucky birth and death records, which began in Jan 1911, he was either born sometime between late 1908 and early 1910, and died before April 1910, or he was born sometime after April 1910 and died the same year. The fact that the 1910 census lists Matilda as the mother of 5 children, 4 living, and one of her four children from her first marriage had died before 1910, suggests that the latter is more likely.
