His death certificate records Jasper Puckett, age 67 years 5 months 27 days, born 4 June 1844 in Russell Co., W. Va, died 1 Feb 1912 in Rowan Co., Ky, father James Puckett, mother’s maiden name Miliza Merit, both born in W. Va, cause of death typhoid fever, informant Charels Puckett, Christy, Ky, burial in Elliottsville, Ky.

Her gravestone says that she died 12 Feb 1940, but the Kentucky Death Index lists Gracy Puckett, died 27 Feb 1939, age 88. The certificate is listed in the deaths recorded in 1940, though (Vol. 17, #08444).

In 1930 she was listed as in Haldeman as Gracy Puckett, age 74, widowed, mother-in-law, with Marion Black and his wife Malinda.

All children listed as born born Ky Ky Ky, although to be consistent with the record for Jasper it should be Ky Va Ky.

Lafayette and Sena are children of Jasper’s son Charles.
