His WW I draft registration card, filed 5 June 1917, records Marion F. Black, age 25, residence Elliottsville, Ky, born 30 Oct 1892 in Elliott Co., Ky, occupation farming, married supporting a wife.
The 1900 census listed him as age 8, born Oct 1891, and that date fits better between the birthdates of his brothers Ben and Slias.
The SSDI lists Marion Black, born 3 Oct 1890, died Oct 1962, SSN issued in Kentucky before 1951.
The Kentucky death index lists Marion Black, age 72, died 15 Oct 1962 in Fayette Co., residence Rowan Co.
The 1900 census listed him as age 8, born Oct 1891, and that date fits better between the birthdates of his brothers Ben and Slias.

He is probably the Marion Black age 19 listed in 1910 in Aarons Run, Montgomery Co., Ky, as a hired farm hand with the family of Archie Toy.
Notes for Malinda “Linnie” Puckett
Her birthdate is uncertain. The 1900 census lists her as Malinda, age 11, born July 1888, but the 1910 census lists her as age 18, and the 1930 census as age 37. (Too bad the 1890 census was destroyed. Not that it would be any more accurate than any other, but at least it could distinguish between births before and after that date.)
