His gravestone has his birthdate as 13 Mar 1865, but he was listed in the 1880 census as age 9, and in the 1870 census either not at all, or misentered as a daughter “Elester” age 1.

Her death certificate records Minnie Conn, age 62, born 14 July 1877 in Carter Co., Ky, died 19 July 1939 in Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky, usual residence Elliottsville, married, wife of Lester Conn, father Bill Thomas, mother’s maiden name Martha Goodin, both born in Ky, cause of death cerebral concussion due to automobile accident, informant Frank Conn, Elliottsville, Ky.

Her gravestone instead shows her birthdate as 14 July 1875.
