Rowan Co. marriage book 6, p. 475, records the marriage on 9 Nov 1908 of Alex Wallace, 24, born West Virginia, son of H. T. & Polly Wallace (both born W.Va) and Fannie Grigory, 15, born Rowan Co, dau of Henry & Sallie Grigory (both born Rowan Co), at J. Henry Grigory’s by Presley Manier, witnesses John W. Grigory & Henry S. Alfrey. (West Virginia did not even exist at the time Alex’s parents were born, so he presumably means the part of Virginia that is now West Virginia.)
