His gravestone is inscribed “H. T. Wallace, 34th VA Infantry C.S.A.”, with his birthdate given as Jan 4, 1835.

Since he was recorded in the 1850 census as age 13, the 1860 census as age 23, and the 1870 census as age 32, his birth year is very likely to be 1837.

Many family trees on Ancestry.com mistakenly identify him with the Henry T. Wallace born in Ohio Co., Kentucky, son of Talbot Wallace and Sarah Ann Stevens. (This just happens because Ancestry tends to give “hints” based on name matches, and people accept them too trustingly.)

Her death certicate records Polly Wallace, age 79, born in W. Va., died Aug 21 (or 22 - smudged) 1925 in Rowan Co., Ky, widowed, father’s name unknown, maiden name of mother Polly Cline, both born in W. Va., cause of death cerebral hemorrhage or apoplexy, informant blank, burial in Henry Gregory Cemetery, Clearfield.

Her gravestone has the death date 2 Aug 1925, but the death certificate is pretty clearly two digits, even though the second one is badly smudged. The burial date is recorded as 24 Aug and the filing date is 27 Aug.

In 1920 she was listed as age 74, widowed, with her son Alex Wallace.

1880 census of Logan Co., West Virginia, Magnolia precinct, enumerated 15 June, lists on p. 4 as family #23:
Walace, Timothy, 43, farmer, b. Ky Vir Vir; Polly, 22, wife, b. Vir Vir Vir; Jno H., 10, son; Wm, 8, son; Geo W., 6, son; Lilly, 4, dau; Aron, son, 4; Moses, son, 2. All children are listed as born WVa Vir Vir, which is inconsistent with Timothy’s birthplace being listed as Ky.

Although Lillie and Aaron are both listed as age 4 here, Lillie’s death certificate gave her birthdate as 9 Dec 1872, and Aaron’s WW I draft registration gave his birthdate as 4 Nov 1875 and WW II draft registration gave his birthdate as 10 Nov 1877. The year for Lillie is very likely to be incorrect, and at least one of the years for Aaron is as well, but the different months suggest that they are probably not really twins.
