The Kentucky Birth Index lists Harley Baldridge born 21 Dec 1911 in Rowan Co., mother’s maiden name Amanda Riddle.
His obituary in the Morehead News reported “Harley Baldridge, 82, 3231 St. Rt. 603, Plymouth, Ohio, died Sunday Jan. 9 [1994] in Shelby Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Born Dec. 31, 1911 in Rowan County to the late Alex and Amanda (Riddle) Baldridge, he had been a Plymouth-Shelby resident over 50 years. He had been employed with Copperweld for 30 years. He retired in 1972 and was a farmer for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Flora (Mynhier) Baldridge, whom he wed May 19, 1934; one son and daughter-in-law Homer and Nancy Lee Baldridge of Plymouth; one daughter, Edna Mae Baldridge of Plymouth; four grandchildren, Steven Baldridge of Shelby; Lori Bolinger of Ashland; Jeffrey Baldridge of Brooklyn, Mich.; Lisa Taylor of Goshen, Ind.; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Charlie Baldridge of Clearfield; two sisters, Olive Jones of Xenia, Ohio; Leona Lambert of Morehead; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Estel, Oscar and Ezra Baldridge and one sister Mildred Hargis. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11 at the Barkdull Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil McClain officiating. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Memorial expressions may be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital at the funeral home at 33 N. Gamble Street, P. O. Box 245, Shelby, Ohio 44875.”
