His obituary in the Morehead News of Feb 16, 1977 said “Rev. Hassard M. Hall, 83, died Feb. 11 at the Daniel Boone Convalescent Center, Morehead, after an extended illness. Rev. Hall, a Church of God minister, was the son of the late Henry and Clara Johnson Hall. Rev. Hall was a retired employee of the New York Central Railroad Company. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Ola Blair Hall, he is survived by one son, Gene Hall, Shelby, Ohio; one stepson, Earl Blair, Morehead; one sister, Mrs. Cordia White, Clearfield.
Funeral services were held last Sunday at 2:30 pm at the First Church of God Tabernacle, with the Rev. Scott Griffith officiating. Burial was in the Clearfield Cemetery. Pall bearers were Paul Foreman, Denver Foreman, Junior Pettit, J. C. Jolly, Woodrow Hall and Virgil Workman.”
