Since he was listed as age 1 year born May 1899 in the 1900 census, it is more likely that his actual birthdate was in 1899. His gravestone has the date 25 June 1899.

Be careful not to confuse him with Charles Franklin Adkins, born 24 April 1900, son of Owen Adkins and Mary E. Riddle, or with Charles D. Adkins, born 6 Oct 1900, who married Flora Quesinberry.

I have no relationship to this family. They are in my database mostly to show that this is not the same Charles Adkins who married my grandmother’s first cousin, Flora Quesinberry.
