Her obituary reported:
“Mrs. Hermal V. Adkins, 66, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in the Life care Center.
She was born February 28, 1944, in Rowan County, Kentucky a daughter of the late, Charles G. and Ethel Smith Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernal Adkins and Miguel Adkins, four sisters, Joy Adkins, Vivian Adkins, Dorothy Ball and Phoebe Lewis.
Hermal attended the Morehead First Freewill Baptist Church with her mother and father, when they were living. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending church services and taking trips with the other residents at Life Care Center.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard L. Adkins and Elvin Adkins both of Morehead, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2010, in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. david Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.”
