Rowan Co. marriage book 16, p. 63, records the marriage on 24 June 1923 of Jessie Johnson, age 27, single, born in Rowan Co., residence Morgan Co., son of Earnest & Minnie Johnson, to Dora Gregory, age 21, single, born in and resident of Rowan Co., daughter of John & Mary Gregory, by Presley Manier, minister of the United Baptist church at his home, witnesses Annie Manier and Sarah Perkins.
