Rowan Co., marriage book 10, p. 63, records a marriage license issued on 25 April 1917 of Ora Riddle, age 21, son of John Riddle, to Isabelle Nickell, age 18, dau of Jackson Nickell. First marriage for both, both born in and residents of Rowan Co. There is no return in the book, but a family tree on Ancestry.com contains a scan of the actual marriage certificate, with a marriage date of 28 Apr 1917.
