Harlan Co. birth records list Abind (or Abinel) N. Coldiron, born 13 Dec 1859, father Jesse B. Coldiron, maiden name of mother Lansdown. (This register does not give first names for mothers. The clerk’s handwriting makes “el” and “d” often indistinguishable - skinny e’s and open d’s. Ancestry.com transcribes it as Abinel, but I’ve given preference to “Abind” because (a) he was known colloquially as “Bide”, which doesn’t fit as well for being derived from Abinel, and (b) it clearly says “Abind” in the 1860 census of Harlan Co., where he is listed as 4 mo old, with the family of Jesse B. Coldiron age 34 and wife Lavina age 30.)

His gravestone is inscribed with the dates Dec 3, 1859 to Dec 31, 1936 (and the name Bide), but I cannot find him in the Kentucky death records.

The preceding household is headed by their son Jess, and the one before that by George Parsons who is married to their daughter Delia.
