“Rev. Elbert Pettit, 83, of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Hustler" and Icy Mae Pettit, and brother, Chester. He is survived by his wife, Dianna; daughters, Shirley May Schadwick and Diana Harrison; sons, James Pettit, Eugene Pettit, Lester Miller, Jerold Miller, and Daniel Miller; sisters, Goldie Crace and Eula Lee Baldridge; brothers, Charlie Pettit, Eugene Pettit, Robert Pettit and Lenvil Pettit; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Rev. Pettit was a minister for over 55 years, currently at Lighthouse Church of God. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 27 at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Fairborn, with Rev. Harold Pettit officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment in Rose Hill Mausoleum in Springfield.”
