Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 1, p. 180, records the marriage on 4 Aug 1888 of Minnie B. Cooper and J. A. Jones. Bond surety by B. D. Jones. There is a consent note signed by H. A. Jones for "my daughter Minnie B. Cooper. (The H. probably stands for Haley. 1880 census shows Minnie B. age 10 d/o William Cooper 75 and wife Haley 34.) There is also a consent note signed by S. F. Jones for “my son J. A. Jones”.

So far as I know, there is no relationship between the Stanfield Jones family and my own. I am entering John and Minnie primarily because of their daughter Lula who married Jesse F. Johnson.

I have a half brother to my great grandmother Mary Jane Jones Perkins that I am trying to locate something on his family, His name was John Albert Jones he married Minnie Cooper in Rowan County Ky.

John Albert Jones was the son of Stanfield Jones and his second or third wife, He married the daughter of Stanfied Jones 4th wife Minnie Cooper

I need to know if there were more full brothers and sisters to John A. Jones.

Also I need the names of the children by Stanfield Jones and Minnie Cooper.

There were 12 children by his first wife Eveline Harmon.

Some time back I found a Jones Obituary for a George W. Jones, Manchester Ohio George was the son of John A. Jones and Minnie Cooper Jones it reads as follows

Mr. Jones
Manchester, Ohio- George W. Jones age 81, of Manchester, Ohio, died Thursday at the Adams County Hospital.
He was a retired farmer.
Mr., Jones was the born June 14, 1909 in Fleming Co., Ky., a son of John A. Jones and Minnie Cooper Jones.
Surviving are his wife Mrs Grace Richardson Jones, two sons Earl Jones of West Union Ohio, and Craig Jones of Aberdeen Ohio: three daughters Mrs. Ruby Rankins, Mrs Darleen Smith and June Jones all of Manchester Ohio.

Stanfield Jones married Mahala Ann Reeves 3-2-1887 in Rowan County. Mahala was the second wife and widow of William Cooper. Her daughter Minnie Belle was born 9-28-1868. I do not know who her father was. Minnie went by the name Cooper after Mahala married William abt 1872. Minnie married Stanfield's son John Albert Jones 8-4-1888.

I think Mahala and Stanfield had two sons, I am fairly sure one was named Frank. The other may have been named Lewis.

Mahala was born 12-12-1845 and died 1-22-1937. She married Alfred C Reeves after Stanfield died.
