Stegall, to Verdie Jones, age 21, residence Nici, Fleming Co., born in Fleming Co., daughter of John A. & Minnie Jones, by John Kelley at his house, witnesses Bill Stegall and Hattie Stegall, bond surety by William Stegall.
They apparently divorced about 1918, because Jesse was still married when he registered for the draft in June 1917, but in the 1920 census he is back with his parents, recorded as divorced.
