Notes for Bert McCarty
His name was given as Burton in 1910, as Albert in 1920, and as Bertram on several family trees on Ancestry.com, so I don’t know which long version of his first name is correct. (It was just Bert in 1900 and 1930.) Since Bert seems to be what he went by, I will just enter that.

McCarty, Burton, 23, iron ore miner; Minnie M., wife, 20, married 1 year, mother of 1 child, 1 living; George H., son, 11/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
1920 census of Nicholas Co., Ky, Moorefield precinct, enumerated 3 Jan, lists on p. 2A:
