I believe his full name was General Francis Marion McClurg, based on the 1900 census, where he was listed as “G F M McClurg”, with a son recorded by the same initials, and the 1910 census, where that son was listed as General. Most official records have his name as Marion, but some refer to him as Frank.

His death certificate records Marion McClurg, age 73 years 5 months, birthdate blank, farmer, married, died 13 Nov 1913 in Pine Grove precinct, Rowan Co., Ky, father Alexander McLurg, mother’s maiden name Elizabeth Johnson, both born in Ky, cause of death what looks like “chronic Leueth”, but is probably meant to be chronic heart disease, informant Tom Clifford, Triplett, Ky, burial in McClurg graveyard.

Her death certificate records Miney M. McClurg, age 83 years 5 months, born 17 July 1850 in old Virginia, died 17 Dec 1933 in Rowan Co., Ky, widow of M. McClurg, father J. C. Carvin, mother’s maiden name Malvina Carvin, both born in Virginia, cause of death old age, informant Everett Clifford, Triplett, Ky, burial in McClurg Cem.

The death certificates of her children John, Eva, and Lewis, all give their mother’s maiden name as Corbin.

In 1930 Minnie was listed age age 78, widowed, with her daughter Josie.

The next household is their daughter (Nancy) Eva and her husband C. T. Kelley .

Myrtle and Virgie are daughters of Marion’s son Grover Cleveland McClurg and his first wife Nora T. Horner. (Grover was a son of Marion by Sarah Amanda Thomas, and had recently married his third wife, Mollie Pettit, in 1910.) Annie Parker is the daughter of Eva McClurg and Nickell Parker, whom Eva married about one year after this census was taken, in May 1911, and died 6 months later in childbirth with their second child. (I could not find Nickell in the 1910 census.)
