Rowan Co. marriage book 3, p. 356, records the marriage on 18 Oct 1899 of John Q. Roberts, age 20, residence Hilda, born in Rowan Co., both parents born in Elliott Co., to Fannie Tackett, age 28, residence Rodbourn, born in Rowan Co., father born in Pike Co., mother born in Floyd Co., at the home of the bride’s father by John Kelley, witnesses Frank Johnson and Charley Roberts, bond surety by Abel Tackett.

1900 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Brushy Fork precinct, enumerated 20 June, lists on p. 17 as family #287:
Roberts, John, 23, b. Jan 1877, day laborer; Fanny, wife, 27, b. May 1873, married 6 months, no children. Both born Ky Ky Ky.

Their reported ages and and birthdates are inconsistent with both the 1880 census, where John was listed as age 1 and Fanny as age 9, and with their marriage record, where John was recorded as age 20 and Fanny as age 28. Since the latter two records are consistent with each other, and since the 1900 census of Rowan Co. is egregiously inaccurate on birthdates, I am going by the dates from the 1880 census and the marriage record.

1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pine Grove precinct, enumerated 16 May, lists on p. 16B as family #285/288:
Roberts, John, 31, farmer; Fanny, wife, 39, first marriage for both, married 10 years, mother of 4 children, 3 living; Hattie J., dau, 9; Charlie, son, 7; Anna, dau, 2. All born Ky Ky Ky.
