Staton, paper worker, with wife Dulcenia, living at 727 Claredon Av., in 1917 through 1919 In 1923 it lists Eli Staton, occupation clerk, at Maple Park. In 1939 it lists Eli Staton, occupation watchman, at Rt. 2, Dixie Heights. In 1940 through 1959 it lists C. Eli Staton with wife Dulcenia, at 3603 Vannest Ave.

The Ohio deaths database lists Charles E. Staton, age 73, died 10 Oct 1959 at home in Middletown, Butler Co., married.

She is recorded in the 1900 census as Dulcena Fugate, age 8, granddaughter of Granville Noble and Isabell Neace, but the death records of her children all give her maiden name as Noble. Since Granville Noble had no daughters old enough to be her mother, most likely she was born out of wedlock to one of Granville’s sons and a mother whose maiden name was Fugate.
