This is not intended to be a complete family group. I am entering them only to record the parents of their son James, and he in turn is entered only to help document that the Rosa Daugherty who died in 1919 in Pendleton Co. is not the same person as the Rosetta (with the same years of birth - at least as recorded on their death certificates - and death) who was the wife of Alexander H. Daugherty.

1860 census of Pendleton Co., Ky, Gardnersville P.O., enumerated 6 July, lists on p. 119 as family #803/802:
Joseph Daugherty, 34, farmer, b. Ky; Priscela, 34, b. North Carolina; Jenette, 6, b. Ky; John J., 5, b. Ky; Ernest L. Daugherty, 12, apprentice, b. Ky.

The next household is headed by John Simpson, 32, born in South Carolina, probably a brother of Priscilla. Ernest is probably the child listed as Arness Daughtery age 2 in 1850, son of John (age 31) and Elizabeth (age 29) Daugherty.

1870 census of Pendleton Co., Ky, precinct 5, Demossville P.O., enumerated 6 Aug, lists on p. 16 as family #121:
