Va., cause of death heart block, informant S. B. Downing, Higginsville, Mo., burial in City Cemetery.

Since West Virginia did not exist in 1862, they apparently mean the part of Virginia that later became West Virginia.

1900 census of Lafayette Co., Missouri, Davis township, enumerated 2 June, lists on p. 3A as family #53:

June 1881; Leverett, son, 17, b. Feb 1883; Kenny, son, 15, b. Dec 1884; Rogan, Mary Ann, mother-in-law, 68, b. Nov 1831, Virginia Va Va, widowed, mother of 1 child, 0 living. All children born Missouri Ky Mo.

The number of children living does not make sense for Mary Ann, since Lula/Lura was her daughter. The surname of “Rogan” is apparently a misunderstanding by the census taker.
