So far as I know, this Downing family is no relationship to my own. But their son James moved to Lafayette Co., Missouri, and I am keeping track of all the Downings who appear in the records of Lafayette Co. so that I can avoid confusing them with the descendants of my Dennis Downing who also migrated there.
