Birthdate is very approximate. She was listed as age 6 in 1850, age 10 in 1860, age 24 in 1870, age 29 in 1880, age 44 born Jan 1856 in 1900, age unknown in 1910, age 80 in 1920 (with her son John), and age 85 in 1930 (with her son Bill.)

“Betty” is apparently a mishearing of Lettie. Most of the ages here are considerably younger than would be implied by the 1850 census, which is probably closer to correct. Preston is listed as 6, but he cannot be younger than 10, since he was listed in 1850, although he may have really been under a year then. Since his age is four years off, the siblings above him in the birth order may also be wrong by a similar amount.

1900 census of Rowan Co. Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 20 June, lists on p. 18A as family #306/307:
