Her marital status is given as widowed, but from censuses it appears likely that she did not really marry.

The name of Levi Buchanan is from William Sorrell’s death certificate. It may be incorrect; I cannot find any match in the 1800 through 1920 censuses. I also do not really know that all of Alabama’s children have the same father, but pending any other evidence, it is easier to keep all the children together.
