This is not intended to be a complete family group. I am including them in my database only to document the parentage of their daughter Emma who married Grant Pettit.

1900 census of Bath Co., Ky, White Sulphur precinct, enumerated 5 June, lists on p. 4B as family #78:
Golda, William, 55, b. July 1844, Virginia Virginia Virginia; Marry, wife, 28, b. May 1872, married 9 years, mother of 5 children, 5 living; Berl, son, 8, b. Mch 1892; Emma, dau, 6, b. Nov 1893; Boyd, son, 5, b. Dec 1894; Artie, dau, 4, b. Feb 1896; Marquis, son, 1, b. Oct 1898; Roland, stepson, 15, b. Feb 1884; Effie, stepdau, 14, b. Mch 1886. All except William listed as born Ky Ky Ky, although if he was really born in Virginia, then the father’s place of birth should be Va for his children.

If the stepchild relationships and marriage data on the 1910 censust (see below) are correct, then Roland and Effie must be children of William’s second wife by some previous husband of hers. But it could be that they are really Wiliam’s children, and only Mary’s stepchildren.

1910 census of Bath Co., Ky, district 4, enumerated 2 May, lists on p. 16B as family #344/362:
Goldy, William H., 67, third marriage, married 20 years, laborer at odd jobs; Mary, wife, 38, first marriage, married 20 years, mother of 10 children, 8 living; Berl, son, 18; Boyd, son, 15; Artie, dau, 13; Martin, son, 9; Oatie, dau, 8; Vinia, dau, 6; Nelia, dau, 0/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

This family moved to Indiana about 1912. Since they are not related to me, I am not including any later records.
