(His gravestone is in Slaty Point.)

The age and birth date are off by at least 22 years.

Her death certificate records Maud Crawford, age 25, born 1890 in Rowan Co., Ky, died 7 Aug 1915 in Rowan Co., Ky, married, father Daniel Royce, mother’s maiden name Mollie Cook, both born in Ky, cause of death puerperal pertonitis, informant Farris Cook, Farmers, Ky, burial in Slaty Point.

There is no labeled stone for her in Slaty Point Cemetery. (There are, however, 102 graves with blank stones.)

Rowan Co. marriage book 7, p. 344, records the marriage on 13 Mar 1911 of William A. Crawford, age 55, residence Salt Lick, born in Madison Co., Ky, son of Anderson & Jane Crawford, his second marriage, to Maudie Royse, age 21, residence Ramey, born in Rowan Co., daughter of Daniel & Mary Royse, her first marriage, at Morehead by Jas. E. Stewart, witnesses A. M. Day and J. A. Allen, bond surety by John A. Allen.
