1930 census of El Paso Co., Colorado, town of Fountain, enumerated 9 April, lists on p. 2A as household #94:
Combs, James O., 71, widowed, farmer; Huff, Lucy A., sister, 73, widowed. Both born Iowa Indiana Illinois.

Notes for Mary Belle Riddle
The California death index lists Mary Belle Combs, born 22 April 1861 in Ohio, died 21 Feb 1948 in Los Angeles, father’s surname Riddle, mother’s maiden name Hunt.
In the censuses, her birthplace was given as Missouri in 1870, as Kentucky in 1880, 1920, and 1930, and as Ohio in 1900 and 1910. Her reported place of birth on the death certificates of her children varies as well, but Ohio seems to be the most common report. Records for her younger brother Andrew, though, are nearly unanimous in reporting that he was born in Bath Co., Kentucky.
I have not found her parents in the 1860 census, which could also give a clue as to where they were likely to be in 1861.
