Charlie and Stella were first cousins.
Census
1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 4 April, lists on p. 6A as family #1:
Conn, Charlie, 34, age at first marriage 28, farmer; Stella, wife, 35, age at first marriage 14; Roll, son, 19. All born Ky Ky Ky.
I believe Roll was born out of wedlock to Stella, but I do not know if his father was Charlie or not. In 1920 he was listed with Stella’s parents, as Rollie age 9, son, but Stella was not with the household. I have not found her in either 1910 or 1920. Judging by the “age at first marriage 14”, she was probably married to someone else, but there are no birth records indexed during that time frame with a mother Stella Conn.
The next household is headed by Charlie’s parents, and the one after that by Riley Bowling, married to his sister Ida.
