The Kentucky death index lists Allie H. Parker, age 83, died 24 Oct 1979 in Rowan Co.

In 1900 and 1910 he was listed with his paternal grandparents, Mason and Frankey Parker. In January 1920 he was listed with his father and stepmother, misgendered as a widowed daughter. (The same census also records John’s mother Frankey Parker as his father. Apparently the enumerator took down only the names and ages when visiting, and added the genders and relationships later, based on guessing from names and ages.)

1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hogtown precinct, enumerated 10 April, lists on pp. 4B-5A as family #73/75:
Parker, Allie, 34, age at first marriage 25, laborer at clay mine; Lucy, wife, 27, age at first marriage 17; Nora M., dau, 8; John E., son, 2 8/12; Archie E., son, 8/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
