1860 census of Floyd Co., Virginia, Prestonburg P.O., enumerated 20 July, lists on p. 38 as family #225:
William Kidd, 21, laborer; Eveline, 16, both born in Kentucky.
The immediately preceding household is the family of George Kidd age 45 with wife Frances age 40, and 9 children, the oldest of whom is William, also listed as age 21, but born in Virginia. It is probable that the same William was mistakenly listed twice in both households. (The 1850 census of Kentucky lists only the one William Kidd of appropriate age, in Floyd Co., age 11, son of George and Frances.)
