J. D. Johnson, witnesses Thomas Gibbs and R. W. Gibbs.

1940 census of Richland Co., Ohio, Shelby ward 3, ED 70-8, enumerated 9 April, lists on p. 4B as family #87, at 171 N. Broadway:
Brown, Claude, 36, b. Ky, laborer at lumber dealer; Bethel, wife, 31, b. Ky; Russell, son, 15, b. Ky; Curtys, son, 13; Omer L., son, 11; Mildred, dau, 9; Eula F., dau, 5; Kathleen, dau, 4; Donna Jean, son (sic), 3/12. All living in rural Richland Co., Ohio in 1935. Curtys through Donna are listed as born in Ohio, although Eula has a birth record in Kentucky. The gender for Donna Jean is probably correct, since Russell’s obituary listed a surviving brother Don Brown of Florida, but the name may be wrong. Don Eugene, perhaps?
